A community garden has just been completed in Pitanga which will be used as a tool in promoting food and body consciousness. Pitanga team would like to acknowledge the kind support of Auroville Consultancy, gratitude to Martin for the inspiration for its creation, Prakash for coordination of execution, Jacob and Martin (design) Jisu, Seokho, Nithin and also the students from the Korean travelling school for on-site work.

Earth quake in Auroville ?

Geologically Auroville region is a stable one . Major earthquake will not happen.Minor earthquake that took place some 15(?) years back is with the intensity of No 2 in the scale of 1 to 10.

The whole peninsular India is pushing the Himalayas that is why major earth quake is possible in the Himalayan region.

In Auroville the only problem is mosquitoes, loudspeaker,pesticides and politics.
