We wish to share our warm gratitudes and dear love to Roma's kitchen and AV Bakery who made our Winter camp alive and Successful through their offerings of delicious snacks and foods.
I very much appreciated the column in the 24th N&N about the environmental impacts of clothing. I moved to Auroville in 1995, and everything, wardrobes included, were so much more simple and humble then. It has saddened me to see flashy consumption become closer to the norm here (as everywhere) rather than the exception.
A beautiful, exquisitely carved wooden rocking horse appeared this morning in front of the (still closed) door of the Freestore. It caught everybody's eye and admiration, and of course provoked the inevitable wish to know where such a gorgeous gift came from...? (Anybody who has a clue to the mystery, the freestore team would love to know more of this lovely creature's past!) It was clear that a special destination must be found for a special guest... and after some reflecting and searching, the horse is now waiting to delight children in the play area of Santé.
